Greater London, United Kingdom
I am a GPhC registered pharmacist, with extensive clinical strengths, and strong commercial expertise gained from five years’ experience heading two London community pharmacies. I am now looking to progress my career in the pharmaceutical industry, where I can draw on my passion for research and innovation and help make a genuine difference to patient care. As Managing Pharmacist, I am accountable for all business activities, including regular audits, and make every effort to deliver prompt, accurate and efficient dispensing services within a profitable retail operation. Under my leadership, turnover has risen, the number of registered patients and the volume of prescriptions in both establishments have grown dramatically, and the wide range of ancillary services I provide has given customer footfall in each location a substantial boost. Patient-centred services have played a crucial part in promoting community wellbeing and driven up revenues. In addition to health screening and travel vaccination services, I have aided the introduction of ear microsuction and cholesterol / glucose testing with lifestyle advice, and am a NCTSCT-certified Stop Smoking Practitioner. Following the successful completion of an independent prescribing course in Type 2 diabetes, I also ran a diabetic clinic for a local GP practice. I have excellent communication and people skills and excel at building productive relationships with patients, local GPs, care home staff and nurses, delivering expert advice on medication doses, with interactions and assistance with decision-making. I enhance staff performance with ongoing training, mentoring and support, and my supervision and coaching of pre-registration pharmacists consistently achieves a 100% pass rate. Core Skills include: Legal & Statuary Compliance | Clinical Service Delivery | Evidence-based Analysis | Cross Functional Team Leadership | ABPI Code of Practice | Communications & Presentations
